Singaporeans First or PAP Government First?

Finally, after so much "shouting" and criticism (My first post on this topic is "A Singapore without Singaporeans") of PAP government's Foreign Workers' policy, PAP government has decided to do something about it.

However, when I read about what PAP government intended to do, my first reaction is "Again?"! PAP government is world first in policy packaging as well as calculative. A Casino Resort that comes with great potential social ills is packaged as an Integrated Resort full of economic benefits and jobs. Well, I will revisit the Casino issue in my next post.

PAP government says that in order to make Singaporeans feel more privileged, PAP government will INCREASE fees paid (cutting subsidies and incentives) by Permanent Residents and Foreigners, instead of lowering fees for Singaporeans! Well, this is actually a "good policy", one stone kill two birds! It will save money for the PAP government and at the same time make Singaporeans "feel good" that the PRs and foreigners are paying more than them!

My question is this, if it is really Singaporeans First, then it must be a policy that BENEFITS Singaporeans in terms of lower ABSOLUTE payment but no, to the PAP government, it is only about saving money for the government coffers! If it is really Singaporeans First policy, all the savings from such cut of subsidies and incentives to PRs and foreigners should be transferred as benefits to Singaporeans!

Thus, in my view, these cuts in subsidies and incentives to PRs and foreigners, are PAP Government First policy, not Singaporeans First policies as the only beneficiary of these policies is the PAP government, not Singaporeans.

Besides writing rubbish on your blog, what else did you do?

Stop the wayang, Mr Goh! You have been exposed in the media as a dubious character. No Singaporeans will believe in your bullshit!

Anonymous 12:44: the media is a PAP mouthpiece, so it's ALL propaganda! They do not expose, they only assassinate characters the PAP doesn't like.

If you wanted, you could do the same things to PAP leaders. For example, it was LKY who collaborated with the Japanese during WWII.... Imagine what the government could do with that if LKY was in the opposition!

Here come the character assassins..

to 1st anonymous: know what is an ad hominem fallacy?

Here's a tip - it's what you were doing in your post. Heh!

Too nice to call them assasins.

They are nothing but dogs sent in by their despotic masters. Just in case you don't know, its masters are the despots fron the Poking Asshole Party(PAP). The party that make sure the public get shaft from behind after every elecetions.

Goh Meng Seng, you are nothing but a DOG.

In one of the blog there was a good suggestion made by a commentator, that is, why couldn't the PAP upgrade the benefits given to Singapore citizens while maintaining the respective status quo for FTs and PRs. This will kill two birds with one stone. Satisfactory arrangement for both sides.

Your are right that this is a PAP first policy. My guess PAP needs to collect more and more money from various taxes is to offset the loses of Shin Corp, Suzhou Industrial Park and god knows what other financial mistakes swept under as state secrets.

Goh Meng Seng only dares to write rot here in his own blog. If he has guts, he should write in to the forum.

This blog is good rot. Much better than the brain washed shit allowed in the forum.

I agree that over the years PAP suck up more money to pay for their mistakes in the true commercial world. It's like a training fund for their hand picked "elites".

Has there ever been an occasion where the gov chose to take less or give more to solve problems? Somehow all their solutions involve either taking more from the general poplace (GST hike, COE, ERP) or giving less (CPF cut, lowering FT subsidy). Only exception I can think of is the progress package which amounts to insignificance next to the money involved in GST hike, COE, CPF etc.

Not difficult to predict future solutions given this pattern.

GMS is just angry he is not an elite. Heard he was a YPAP member during his school days, is it true?

Anonymous said...

Who gives a shit! I don't care if GMS and LKY were drinking kakis or in bed together in the past. Wake to f*#@ up. Can it make our lives better, you F*#@ head.

I want the PAP to assure us that as citizens we are not sidelined by FTs and PRs. I just want a f*#@ing job to feed a family of five.

And F*#@ing dickhead thinks its impt to know whether GMS was YPAP.

Errr....you think GMS can do anything for us, dream on!

The PAP leaders are the BEST PAID MINISTERS in the world. If they can't solve problems and blame on matters that all other countries political leaders are facing as well - example globalisation. Then its time they are paid accordingly along with the pay of other political leaders in the region too.

Definately, not so thick skin as to be the best paid as if they have such superhuman capabilities to solve problems that others cannot. So why suck up so much of the tax payers money.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, that's right. Since the PAP ministers can't solve it as well. Why are they getting paid $1 million or more per year. Should get zero just like GMS.

How can you trust a person who has changed 5 jobs in 5 years and can't hold on to a proper job in spite of a university degree?
